Fun starts and ends with safety at FREEDOME
Trampoline parks have, quite literally, jumped to the forefront of the adventure activity industry, with openings increasing by 3000% in just 3 years… Crazy, we know!
Whilst bouncing around is masses of fun, we want to make sure your experience is as safe as possible. Our very own Freedome Managing Director, Peter Brown, has been live on TV and radio over the last year, speaking out about safety standards at trampoline parks. He is a founding member of the UK subcommittee of the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP), the first chair of the group and the technical author of the British Standard. He identified early on in the lifecycle of trampoline parks that safety standards would be required to keep up with the demand of parks.
Because of this we’ve invested millions of pounds in developing the construction and operation of the world’s first padless trampoline park system that significantly reduces accident rates. Developed by our friends in Australia, Vuly, our trampoline park system has no accessible metal structures, removing the need for any padding and making it a safer option all round.
Peter has recently been speaking to various TV and radio programmes, including Jeremy Vine, BBC Radio Five Live, Newsround and Good Morning Britain about the amount of ambulance call outs to trampoline parks in the last year and championing the IATP’s bid for safer parks.
Safety is super important to us all at FREEDOME, and is a significant part of what makes us different to a lot of other parks in the region and the UK. All of our staff have undertaken intensive training sessions and are first aid trained… although we hope they never need to use what they’ve learnt!
